Election Day

So, in the United States, today is the great, almighty Election Day. After this day is over, I will be relieved. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get pretty sick of the election. I mean, the campaign has just gotten annoying! All the mudslinging and all the "I'm right and he's wrong" and "He wants to raise taxes" and all the "No I don't". Annoying. All the ads you see on TV. I just want to go up and smash the TV on the floor, then set fire to it while roasting marshmallows over it. Then get some tribal drum beats going and dance around the fire while it lasts. Maybe sing a ritual or something. And it seems that Obama is going to win anyway. I mean, come on, the press even favors him. You can really tell. I was watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, and one of his jokes was that MSNBC won't declare Obama the winner until after the election. That's how bad it is. I can't vote anyway, so I really just can't wait until Thanksgiving! That's when I get to go down to Arkansas, where my grandparents and a bunch of my other relatives live, and eat a ton of great, scrumptious food! To pig out and eat as much as I want! That's what I'm talking about! Food! There's nothing better than Thanksgiving food! Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner rolls... some of the most amazing food! The only thing that would make it better is if there was some chicken fried steak! That stuff is amazing! Whenever the school serves it, I start drooling. Then Micah has to nudge me to snap me out of my food fantasies... so good... So anyway, the point here is that, yes, I do think the election is very important, but I'm just getting tired of all this campaigning. It's going to be nice to get away from it all and relax again. No more bickering.
