What is Official Orange?
What exactly is Official Orange? Well, it's a hilarious site that offers a lot of comedy on each page! On the Home Page, you'll find recent news and find out what's been updated. On the blog page, you'll find humorous blogs made by either me, Jeff Hinshaw, the creator of the site, or the founder of Official Orange himself, Elijah Kampsen.
On occasion, we will also do very humorous videos that you can watch right here on the website! If you are having trouble loading the video here, you can always go to the YouTube site we will have available to you.
There's also the occasion of the weird, but comical comics made by Elijah himself. Again, we will make it clear what has been updated and when on the Official Orange Home Page.
Where'd the name "Official Orange" come from?
Well, I'll tell you where it came from. I, Elijah, went to make the original Xanga site, and needed a name for the logo. I was eating an orange at the time, and it should be known that I did not have a pop-up blocker installed. So, as I ate the orange, a pop-up came up announcing "Great Savings at the Official Home for Hardware!" And "Official" was in quite large, bold letters. So, I guess it just clicked with me.
Bathroomwars.com? What?
You may have noticed this site used to be on the domain, 'bathroomwars.com'. What is that? Well, I've had a domain name for a while that I was planning to use, but there were complications and I never did end up using it. However, the need for a domain name came when Official Orange needed a new home. That is why we used to be on the weird bathroomwars.com domain name. This changed by January of 2009 when we bought a new domain, officialorange.com.
Can I help?
Yes, actually, we could all use your help here at Official Orange! One way to do this is to send us in topic ideas for the blog, since it's hard to think of topics to write about almost every day. (Oh, and don't expect an entry every day. New content will try to be presented at least every other day, however.) So, if you have a topic idea, send it on in to us at this e-mail. And if you have any suggestions for set-up of this site or any other suggestion, send it on in to us too! We love to hear your ideas! A great tool to use to send us your ideas is located on the Contact Us Page!

Jeff Hinshaw, 18

-Creator and webmaster of the Official Orange site. He also makes a good back-up vocalist for Baby J and the Playa-Hatas Squad. He also makes sure Elijah doesn't screw anything up and keeps the site running smoothly.
"Jeff is 18 years old. He enjoys his wonderfully fat cat, Butterscotch, his cute little cate, Lily, his huge pet dog, Sasha, and his cute, adorable, pet parakeet, Carlos. (Although they recently found out that he was actually a girl, so I guess his... I mean her... name is Carla.) Jeff's favorite place to be is in the basement at his computer, either updating the site, playing MouseHunt, editing movies, or burning DVDs. If you want to know where he is during a certain time of the day, it will either be at school, which he hates, or on his computer, which he loves. When it comes to school, there seems to be only one class he truly likes, which is Web Page Design, since that is something he is interested in. Jeff loves technology and working with computers, video cameras, whatever! He hopes to become a movie director when he grows up, making comedy movies. He is currently working on a movie called Solid Time. It's a comedy about Father Time loosing control of time, and the pointless, long, hilarious journey to kill the evil villain and restore time that ensues. He has the script completely typed up, and plans to edit the movie Summer of 2008. After the movie is filmed, he plans to edit it, and while he edits it, he will send out permission letters to use people's material (i.e. music used in the film). He then plans to get the movie copyrighted, then sell it online. Of course, a website will accommodate it, which just means another site to create and maintain. He is always hungry, and his favorite food is food. Yay. So that pretty much wraps up Jeff. He's just a normal guy who has a keen liking to technology and spends every waking moment outside of school on the computer. Enough said."

Elijah Kampsen, 18

"Elijah is 18 years years of age. He has 3 cats: Fatty Feefs (pictured with Elijah), Stinky, and SprayCat. SprayCat is
called SprayCat, because he used to pee out his butt in random
places; such as directly at Elijah's sliding glass door. Elijah has a
chicken of his own, named Slimeball. He also has 3 goldfish,
Slimeball, Scumbag, and John Walsh. Elijah enjoys spending every
waking moment on the computer. His favorite foods are Pork-flavored
Ramen, and Marshmallow Mateys cereal. He loves Ramen. His favorite
class is English class. He occasionally meows during class. Elijah's
favorite vacation was to Chicago, IL. That's Illinois. Elijah
sometimes digs holes in his yard, and buries Pop-tarts, so that in
case of nuclear winter, he will still be able to enjoy their Smore'y
goodness. He occasionally listens to a terrible abomination of a
band, called Shat. Their 49-second periods of audio horror, can be
found on iTunes for a reference point. He doesn't like math too much.
Some people say he's funny, which is pure crap. This kid couldn't
be funny if he inherited Charlie Sheen's jeans. He's pretty
hilarious. He also hates long walks on the beach. His plans for the
future remain an enigma, and you don't want to anger him. He gets
pretty mad when people smell. He, unlike some freshmen in 3rd Hour Teen Topics, wears deodorant. He also enjoys listening to Alternative Rock music."

William Johnson, 19

"William is 19 years young. He has two dachshunds named T.K.
and Shadow. William loves to experiment on the computer, and it usually ends
badly (like when his $1500 computer’s hard drive went bad and the motherboard
was fried.) William is always on top of news when it comes to video games. He
regularly plays late-night marathon runs of the latest games as soon as they
come out (he even stood in line for 18 hours at Wal-Mart to pick up the Wii
because he forgot to preorder it.) On top of that, he is also obsessed with
music composition. When asked to describe his musical tastes in one genre, he
laughed uncontrollably for several minutes and asked “Are you serious?” Upon
seeing that the questioner was in fact serious, he somberly stated
“Alternative,” and drove away. His favorite foods are tuna noodle casserole and
tacos. His plans for the near future are to get a job, buy equipment and record
music with the band he is a part of. His favorite subjects in school are the
math and computers classes. He also follows several webcomics regularly thanks
to the magic of RSS feeds. His whereabouts are currently unknown, as he does

Alec Weaver, 19
Alec Weaver is a renegade gonzo culinary information broker who has now turned to the writing scene after having exhausted a substantial income from starring in comedic internet shorts. After five years of effective retirement as a long-haired hermit in a heavily fortified compound in the mountains, he has returned to the internet to hone his writing skills and has taken up work for the same comedic website to support his writing. Not much is known about him except for the fact that he proudly claims to be "always armed", and is said to have several hidden firearms, at least one of which, called "The Upper Hand", is powerful enough to blow up a vehicle. Alec's weapon of choice for the most part is a handheld "bowel disruptor", which causes instant and painful loss of bowel control, with various settings that allow him to vary the level of pain and discomfort the device will inflict, ranging from simple diarrhea to complete rectal prolapse. Alec prefers this weapon because, despite being illegal, it is (usually) non-lethal and its effects are untraceable. If he asks you who you are, answer respectfully and promptly or else you might find yourself at the business end of this gruesome tool. It has also been said that Alec is a skilled user of Metaphysics; however he never uses magical spells, unless he has to, especially in a hostile situation. Alec faces most of his challenges relying primarily on his cunning, his vast knowledge of the arcane and esoteric, manipulation of opponents and allies, and an extensive list of contacts. Despite these terrifying reports, many say that Alec is really a compassionate humanist who struggles to overcome the influence of his inauthentic generation and pursues a life of danger and international intrigue. His motivation has been attributed to an adrenaline addiction that only the strange and mysterious can sate. He also seems to be something of a "Weirdness Magnet".

Drew Risch, 19
The guy who updates the RSS feed, so Jeff can do more important things... Drew is 16. He and Will are in a constant power struggle for who has the best computer, but Drew always seems to have a hand up (not really). He enjoys being in videos with Jeff and Elijah and friends, and does minor site work when needed. Drew stood in line with Will at Wal-Mart to get his Wii, which he hardly ever plays since he got his new computer (He let Jeff borrow it and Jeff still has it). Drew is taking computer classes with Will and Elijah at school to further his knowledge of HTML and site building. Drew plays drum set rather non-committedly at his church and home, and enjoys playing bass on the school drum line.
Note: Drew doesn't listen to music (it's a sin), so don't expect a little music box like the rest of these fellows.

"Wake Up!," the fourth single by BJ&tPHS, was written by Jeff Hinshaw and Elijah Kampsen, and performed by Jeff Hinshaw and Elijah Kampsen, then released on the label Official Orange Records. The album artwork was designed by Elijah, and features Jeff presenting his coffee cup in a seemingly happy manner. A full-length album is planned to be completed and released in late 2008 or early 2009. More information later this year.
"Trees," the third single by BJ&tPHS, was written by Elijah and Liam Kampsen, and performed by Elijah, Liam, and Jeff Hinshaw, then released on the label Official Orange Records. The album artwork was designed by Elijah, and features him encompassed by a giant tree in his front yard. A full-length album is planned to be completed and released in late 2008 or early 2009. More information later this year.
"Evil Kitty," the second single by BJ&tPHS, was written by Liam Kampsen, and performed by Elijah Kampsen, then released on the label Official Orange Records. The album artwork was designed by Elijah, and features the Kampsen' cat Fifi (also known as Fatty Feefs.) You may remember, she was the writer of the Feefs' Corner entries on the original Xanga. A full-length album is planned to be completed and released in late 2008 or early 2009. More information later this year.
"Cannibal Worm," the first single by BJ&tPHS, was written by Elijah Kampsen and Matty Carson, and released on the label Official Orange Records. The album artwork was designed by William Kampsen (Elijah's Dad.) It was written in 2006, but was not recorded until 2008. The duo (which will soon expand), plans on writing more music and possibly putting out a full-length album in 2008 or 2009.
